    Cohort 8 - July 2026 - June 2028
  • Minimum Qualifications

    Admission into the BAS-TE program is competitive. Thirty candidates are selected for each cohort. Meeting the minimum entrance requirements does not guarantee admission as the number of qualified applicants may exceed the number of available enrollment spaces. To be considered for admissions, applicants must complete and submit the following:

    1. BAS-TE application packet
      1. Online application (Scoring Rubric)
      2. Resume
      3. Verification of at least 33 hours in a classroom setting (Scoring Rubric)
      4. Disposition Reflection
      5. Basic Skills Assessment Scores (WEST-B, ACT, SAT)
      6. Consent to share information
      7. Transcripts

    2. Proof of an earned associate degree or 90 college level credits from a nationally accredited college or university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5

    3. Successful completion of (with a 2.0 or better):

    1. ENGL& 101 - English Composition I
    2. A college-level math course for which intermediate algebra is a prerequisite from the quantitative distribution list(MATH& 132 is recommended)
    3. EDUC& 115 - Child Development
    4. EDUC 246 - Linguistically Diverse Education
    5. EDUC& 205 or EDUC& 202 - Intro to Education w/Field Experience (205) or without (202)
    6. HIST 254 - History of the Pacific Northwest      

    4. In addition to the above listed prerequisites, applicants must have completed, or have met with an advisor to develop a plan to complete the following General Education Requirements (GER courses) before graduating from the BAS-TE degree program. If still in process, please attach a plan signed by the advisor or an email.

    1. Humanities elective (5 credits) CMST& 210 Interpersonal Communication recommended
    2. Communications elective (5 credits) CMST& 220 Public Speaking or ENG& 102 recommended
    3. Natural Science elective w/lab (5 credits) PHSC 109 recommended
    4. Electives: 10 credits-An additional 10 credits from the GER distributions areas

  • Schedule Overview

    The full-time schedule begins September 21, 2026. Students will be enrolled in 15 credits per quarter; fall/winter/spring of 26/27 and again in fall/winter/spring of 27/28 for a total of 90 credits.

    The part-time schedule begins July 3, 2026. You will take 10 credits per quarter in summer/fall/winter/spring of 26/27. Enrollment will increase in fall/winter/spring of 27/28, to allow for spring graduation.
