  • DAS will contact you within 1 to 3 business days to confirm that your request has been received. You will be contacted via email to coordinate your test time and scheduling. Please understand that, due to high demand, DAS may not be able to accommodate the exact date and time requested above. We will work with you through email to find a suitable testing time. Please remember, it is your responsibility to schedule tests with DAS following our minimum 3 business day notice policy.

  • DAS Testing Reminders

    Be on time
Please arrive on time for your scheduled exam, as we can only hold your appointment for 30 minutes. If you do not arrive within that window, you will need to reschedule. If you are unable to attend, please notify us as soon as possible by calling (360) 442-2340. While DAS schedules testing appointments on a first-come, first-served basis, we kindly ask that you communicate promptly and thoughtfully if you expect to be late or unable to attend—this consideration helps us better support all students.

    Attendance matters
Repeated late arrivals or missed exams will be documented, and your instructor may be notified in some cases. We understand that unexpected things happen, and we truly appreciate timely and proactive communication whenever possible. Giving us early notice helps us support you better and allows us to offer your appointment to another student who may be on a waitlist or needing the testing space due to high demand.

    Extended test time
If you’ve been approved for extended time, please know that while we strive to provide the full accommodation, there may be situations where the full duration cannot be offered. This is to ensure fairness and equitable support for all DAS students, as we coordinate a large number of testing accommodations and balance available space, time, and staffing.

    Time limits
Even if your instructor allows unlimited exam time, DAS may set a maximum of about three hours to keep testing access fair for everyone. Limits depend on available testing spaces, scheduled exams, and staffing.

    Testing areas
DAS provides quiet testing spaces, not private rooms. We work hard to accommodate approved accommodations, including extended time; however, due to high demand, there may be instances when the full time cannot be supported in our testing area. In these cases, students may be referred to the campus Proctoring Center, which is also a quiet testing environment. Approved extended time accommodations will still be honored in that setting.

    Shared spaces
Due to high demand, you may be assigned to a room shared with another student. Our testing spaces are quiet, not private.

    Storing belongings
Personal items should not be left outside the testing room. Please store any belongings at a staff member’s desk until your exam is complete.

    No phones or snacks
Phones, smartwatches, and food are not allowed in the testing area unless you have documented approval for these items.

    Before You Start
Please arrive ready to test. Exams are scheduled with specific start and end times, and additional study time beforehand is not permitted unless arranged ahead of time with Sara. Be sure to use the restroom and take care of any personal needs before your exam begins.

    Scheduling
DAS requires at least three business days’ notice to schedule exams.

    Academic Integrity
At DAS, we are dedicated to maintaining a fair and respectful testing environment for all students. Any form of academic dishonesty- including cheating, plagiarism, or falsification- is strictly prohibited and will result in academic and/or disciplinary action.

    Examples of academic dishonesty include:

    • Using unauthorized assistance during an exam, such as phones, banned calculators, other people, or AI tools like ChatGPT, unless explicitly permitted by your instructor
    • Submitting someone else’s work as your own or resubmitting the same work for multiple courses without approval
    • Providing false or misleading information related to your exam or assignments

If academic dishonesty is suspected during your exam, testing will be immediately halted, and your instructor will be promptly notified. Such incidents may lead to serious consequences, including a failing grade or referral to the Student Conduct Officer.

If you’re ever unsure about what’s allowed, please ask! We’re here to support you and help make sure everyone has equal access to a fair testing experience.

    Respect and cooperation
DAS is committed to fair access for every student. Your cooperation and respectful behavior toward staff are appreciated. Following these guidelines helps us maintain a fair, efficient, and supportive testing environment. Please note that disrespectful behavior or repeated failure to follow procedures will be documented and is not acceptable under any circumstances.
