    Academic Standards Committee Petition

  • This Academic Standards Committee (ASC) Petition can be used to request:

    • Waiver graduation requirements
    • Substitution of a course
    • Late withdrawal from a class, after the official deadline
    • Changes to official college transcript or student records
    • Other (change in degree requirements, CLEP test, etc.)
  • Most questions about transfer credit can be addressed without an ASC petition!

    Visit https://lowercolumbia.edu/transcripts/transcript-evaluation/ for information and contact evaluation@lowercolumbia.edu if you have questions. 

    If the transcript evaluation team advised you to submit a petition, change your response to "No" and proceed with submitting the petition as a course substitution.

  • Most questions about Academic Credit for Prior Learning (ACPL) can be addressed without an ASC petition!

    Visit https://lowercolumbia.edu/credit-prior-learning for instructions on requesting ACPL. Contact evaluation@lowercolumbia.edu if you have questions. 

    If ACPL staff advised you to submit a petition, change your response to "No" and proceed with submitting the petition as a course substitution.
